Dramatic Landscape, lots of laughs, and standing ovations of a kind...
Our recent outing to Torc / Dinis as summed up by our Chairman:
Our final social outing of the year was a walk/climb up Torc Mountain with refreshments
under glorious sunshine at Dinis Cottage, with a leisurely boat trip back to
Muckross House. 9 members and 1
non-member took part. It was a challenging descent down Cardiac hill, but we
have emerged richer for the experience.
Social outings like this are, I feel, very worthwhile and help
to strengthen the bond between the Group. If it were only the toil of production, we may have a slightly more tedious association with what Dóchas
stands for. It is great to socialise as a group and take our ease. It serves as
a reward to the group for being a member, and for hard work done throughout the year.
We should endeavour to have more of this.
